The reason I ask is because it’s quite difficult to find a university/college that offers a bachelors in paralegal studies. I already looked at the schools that do offer this program (for the bachelors degree in paralegal studies), but I personally didn’t like them that much due to cost, location, and retention rate.

No, you can be a paralegal with on the job training, or with a certification. It really isn’t a major in which you earn your B.A. – although I’m sure someone offers it. If you want to be a paralegal, you can take the course at a career college (i.e. Fox College, Everest College) or at a local community college.

You do not need a bachelors to be a paralegal. A 2 year degree from a career college or community college (like the first poster said) in paralegal studies is sufficient. Or you could get your bachelors in a different area and get a paralegal certificate. A paralegal certificate on it’s own isn’t sufficient to qualify you for paralegal employment though.
